Bringing a revolution to Mexican craft chocolate, entrepreneur Victoria Espinosa was fed up with the best beans in the world being exported to make chocolate in other countries. From chipotle and chilli to coconut sugar, she uses the flavours of South America to create unique bars and change the perception of Mexican chocolate. The box includes a semisweet 53% chocolate with chipotle chili and caramel.
True chocolate has only 2 ingredients – cocoa butter and cocoa solids. Cocoa butter enriches the body with healthy fats similar to avocado and olive oil, and the solids are the best antioxidant, they help with neuron connections, provide energy, and are just amazing. We use El En Madera Blanca cacao beans, which are indiginous to Mexico. When warriors went to war with only these cocoa nibs in their pocket and water, they could survive for 3 days without having any other food and they were full of energy.”
